Despite its artisanal production, PhonoGraphy caused approving responses in publications such as Trouser Press, and indeed the record made a serious impression on representatives of the New York punk and Newwave. In the second half of the X, two more official records were published, EP "Stance" and the album "Delicate Tension", where on a low-based base the musician continued to make structures from the Power of the Ala "XTC" and experimentalism in the spirit of Frank Zapa.

In Mur, he moved to a small town in New Jersey, where he officially got a job at a gramplast store, but at the same time did not throw his passion for home records. At that time, the musician was influenced by "Public Image Ltd" and, as a result, began to move to post-punk. The appearance of Nirvana and the like was somewhat knocked out by Moore from the saddle, and at the beginning of the decade his creative fuse stood out, but then the musician resumed the production of albums, both self -fed and “official”. In M Stevi, he got a portable home studio, and three years later he took up the distillation of the backing catalog on the CD-R. By the end of his “Cassette Club”, it turned into “R.

Stevie Moore CD-R Club”, in which at that time there were at least a hundred participants who bought Moore records on a regular basis. At the beginning of the zero, the musician had a surge in creative energy, and he recorded several interesting albums, but by and large he continued to be in the underground. Only when Stevi began to mention such representatives of modern Lowe as Ariel Pink and John Mouse as an ideological inspirer, the interest in his figure increased markedly.

As a result, the photo of Moore appeared in magazines like "Wire", and the musician himself first began to travel on tour. The touring activity grew until Moore began to overcome health problems, in view of which he had to return to a sedentary lifestyle.
