Why was it important? Under the common Kuban sky for many centuries, dancing, music, costumes of different nationalities influenced each other, a mixture of styles and traditions took place. A single unique canvas of Kuban identity was created. And Grigory Fedorovich felt this uniqueness, was able to reflect it in his works. The period of his work after moving to the Kuban was incredibly fruitful.

It’s hard to imagine, and he did it without difficulty, because he found inspiration, saw amazing landscapes, met new talented people and literally heard the music everywhere! He did not need a special atmosphere to create, he always had a notebook and a pen with him. He could just stop and start writing something quickly. So ingenious works are born.

In general, Grigory Fedorovich possessed a unique gift - to feel the intonation of words and music, to understand which verses should be on the melody and turn into a song. He never wrote songs to order only if he really found “his” author, then the music appeared by itself. He always said: “How can I let them down? They are waiting for my music! We traveled with him the whole country, and if you saw how we were accepted every time they applauded, you would have no questions left why he never refused concerts. Grigory Fedorovich was an amazingly gifted songwriter! He has many beautiful works on the poems of Sergei Yesenin and Alexander Blok. I want to say that concerts in honor of the Great Victory Day are always the most significant and exciting.

Many consider these songs folk, they are so inscribed in our culture and are familiar to everyone since childhood. The timbre of the voice of Lyudmila Zykina is associated with the very Russian folk song. This is the voice of Russia itself.

It has an incredible depth, melody, power and vitality! After the move of Grigory Fedorovich to Krasnodar Lyudmila Georgievna often came here with concerts and just to visit.She was conquered by the beauty of the Kuban nature, here she felt calmly in the circle of dear friends and loved to walk along Krasnaya Street in the evenings, where, of course, she could not calmly go through one quarter.

The popular love for Zykina was really limitless. Our friendship lasted more than 30 years, even after the tragic death of the composer in the year, the singer continued to come to the Kuban and stayed with me, trying to come to the flowering of the apple tree. She made a great contribution to the creation of the Ivushka state concert ensemble, which today successfully continues its creative path as part of the Philharmonic, performing the songs of Grigory Fedorovich.

Together with Ponomarenko, they laid the foundation for the festivals of the Russian folk song in the Kuban. Zykina became one of the initiators of the assignment of the Krasnodar Philharmonic named after Grigory Ponomarenko. He is one of the few composers who writes with her heart, ”she said that. Our institution has 7 large groups and 4 ensemble; 5 people have the titles of people's artists of Russia, 5 - Honored Artists of Russia, 28 - Honored Artists of the Kuban and more than 30 - laureates of international and all -Russian competitions. We always enjoy the young talents in our creative house, and I personally invite bright artists whom I meet at various competitions!

Krasnodar Philharmonic named after Ponomarenko ranks 5th in Russia in the number of concerts and the number of spectators. And only two Philharmonics in our country, Krasnodar and Tatar, conduct annual solo performances on the main stage of our country - in the State Kremlin Palace. This is a great honor and responsibility for us to show at the proper level all the creative successes of the Krasnodar Territory.

Preparations for this event are going on throughout the year. The time of self-isolation, of course, was not easy for us, I had to quickly reorient and completely go into online broadcasts.

We all were able to get together, come to a new type of work in a short time and got a very good result. We gained a new audience on social networks, we have fans from other cities who are now specially coming to our concerts in the hall. We managed to transform this difficult period into positive experience. In the year they conducted an online broadcast, they were watched by thousands of people.

In the year we conducted 33 online broadcasts, about 83 thousand citizens became the audience. It is normal that new performing genres appear and they are of interest. However, only time will put everything in places, and it will become clear which compositions will remain for centuries and people will sing, and which will dissolve. In any case, I believe that it is not necessary to focus on one specific genre, you must be a developed and versatile person.

In each genre you can find professional performers and worthy compositions, it all depends on the taste of a person. How do you manage everything? And my daily routine is always the same - a lot of work! The Philharmonic is my second family, and every day I am here. To be an artistic director of such a large culture institution as the Krasnodar Philharmonic means to resolve issues not only about repertoire and concerts, there are a lot of administrative affairs, you need to delve into processes and understand everything to the smallest details so that our Philharmonic flourishes and continues to delight the audience with new concerts and productions.

We were very lucky, we have an amazing team - a huge number of young talented artists and professional leaders, communication with them helps to charge with energy, and work is always in joy! The vast majority of social objects are equipped for low -mobility groups of the population. It was the productive cooperation of the chamber and regional authorities that led to such positive results. On the experience of the Krasnodar Philharmonic, I can say that for almost 10 years we have converted the entrance to the institution, equipping it with a special ramp. We spend concerts for people with disabilities in the foyer of the Philharmonic.

We also have special employees on the staff who, if necessary, can individually provide assistance to the audience. For children with disabilities, we provide free tickets.
