Tell us about yourself, where do you come from, where do you live, what do you do in life, when you decided for yourself, then you need to protect Ukraine with weapons in your hands?

My name is Ahmed Alikhadzhiev. I come from the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. Since the year I have been living in Austria. From the very beginning of the Maidan in Ukraine, I carefully watched the development of a political crisis. I saw events in real time, watched news on the Internet, followed the direct broadcasts of what was happening on the Maidan. Thanks to the Internet, where you can always find truthful and accurate information from first -hand.

I mean, first of all, the Ukrainian information field and European, Western. There is an important point that I want to note. From the very beginning of the Maidan, I supported the European vector of the development of Ukraine, the desire of Ukraine to become part of the pan -European house. The people of Ukraine deserve to be part of the European family. In fact, he is part of it, showing his willpower in the fight against the Yanukovych regime, defending his freedom and democracy.

And in my attitude to the political crisis in Ukraine, the use of firearms by Yanukovych’s regime against his own people was a turning point in Ukraine. After I saw the executions of peaceful protesters, I decided that I had no moral right to remain indifferent to the tragedy of the Ukrainian people. In this regard, in mid -March of this year, I openly turned to the Ukrainian people with the support of their struggle for democratic values.

In addition, in social networks I gave advice to some Maidan activists on how to act against Yanukovych's regime. What kind of tips did you give and to whom? Our bitter experience in acquaintance with Russia taught us that you should not make the names of the people with whom you cooperate, and whom Russia considers their enemies, thereby endaning their lives. Therefore, of course, I will not name any names, in any case, until the complete victory of Ukraine over the aggressor.

As for the Soviets. When the first real clashes and the first victims began, it became clear that the regime is valid from the Kremlin. It was not difficult to find out the bloody handwriting of Russia, we have been seeing this handwriting in Chechnya for 20 years. What did I advise? For example, I told the activists that they did not put on the signs of differences, so that they would not differ from the rest, in order to protect from snipers.

I also said that they would not move alone, because they would be stolen to look after wounded activists in hospitals, not to allow their abductions.In addition, I advised them to acquire video cameras and record Yanukovych’s regime crimes in the video. The best weapon against the dictator is openly showing the truth about it to the whole world. How did the idea of ​​creating a Johar Dudaev battalion arose, how many people are in it, where are they from?

From the first day of the beginning of military aggression, when the Russians invaded Ukraine under the guise of “green men” in Crimea, together with our like -minded people began to discuss various options for our assistance to the Ukrainian people. We even then knew, based on the bitter experience of our relations with Russia, that this country is corrected all international laws and contracts, insidiously and brazenly attack Ukraine.

Since the year, I have been a member of the socio-political movement "Free Caucasus". At a meeting of the Presidium of our organization, it was decided to organize an international peacekeeping battalion of volunteers named after Johar Dudaev in order to force the Russian invaders to the world in Ukraine. Today, the battalion has a more person, but the applications about admission to our ranks continue to come from different countries.

The backbone of the peacekeeping battalion of volunteers, of course, is constituted by Chechens, among whom many have experience in conducting military operations in Chechnya against Russian invaders. The command of the battalion does not divide people by a national or religious principle and, accordingly, we have no problems with a set of volunteers from around the world. Our doors are open to everyone who is ready to help the Ukrainian people defend their freedom and democracy.

And who gave your battalion the status of an international peacekeeping? All members of the Presidium of the OPD “Free Caucasus” unanimously approved the name of the battalion as an international peacekeeping. How influential is your organization "Free Caucasus", how many Chechens does it unite? The headquarters of the organization is located in the capital of Denmark Copenhagen.

There are representative offices in different countries of Europe and the world. In particular, I represent our organization in Austria. We are respected by both the Chechens themselves, living outside our homeland, and many other peoples of the former concentration camp called the USSR. Without respect and influence among Chechens, it would be simply impossible. Why was Isa Munaev headed by the battalion, whose orders are he complying?

To appoint him the commander was a decision of the Presidium of our organization, which consists of 11 people. We took into account his authority and great military experience. This is a person who, with honor, passed two Russian-CHC wars, who, among our first like-minded people, declared his firm support in the defense of the freedom and democracy of the people of Ukraine.

You are the deputy commander of the battalion for the political unit. What are your functional responsibilities, what is your work? Yes, indeed, an order on my appointment was recently published. My task is to organize contacts with the leadership of the ATO for cooperation to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. My responsibilities also include work with the media, a report of the positions of our battalion to Ukrainian society on those or other issues.

We perfectly see how a false, hypocritical, barbaric policy of Russia is trying to denigrate the foreign and domestic policy of sovereign Ukraine. We see how the Russian media are trying to slander the defenders of freedom and democracy in Ukraine. We see how the Russian media call the true patriots of Ukraine Bandera, fascists, terrorists. The Chechen people have been suffering from these labels hung with Russian propaganda for 20 years.

An important concept of our battalion is absolute non -interference in the internal political issues of Ukraine and compliance with the norms of the legislation of your country. But Ukrainian legislation does not allow the creation of illegal volunteer armed units. What legal framework are you acting? The battalion is not an illegal volunteer armed unit. I can’t and do not want to make such scrupulous issues for public display, thereby giving Russian false propaganda reasons for false updates and distortions.

One thing I can say for sure. If we went beyond Ukrainian legislation, this would first of all declare the pro -Russian fifth column in Ukraine and Russian media of mass misinformation. So you can not worry, the battalion does not violate Ukrainian legislation. But still, how do the soldiers of your battalion de jure differ from mercenaries? When Yanukovych shamefully fled from Ukraine, leaving behind an economically exhausted country with a purposefully collapsed by the army, ordinary citizens, patriots stood to defend their homeland.

They did not wait for the formation of battalions by the state, realizing that the state has neither money nor resources for this. The patriots themselves united in volunteer battalions to protect their homeland from the invaders. There are many volunteers from different countries ready to help Ukraine. Among them is our battalion, which came to the aid of the fraternal people of Ukraine.Plus, our battalion has the status of international and peacekeeping.

All volunteers come at their own expense. I do not see any moral grounds to call them illegal and even more mercenaries. By the way, among our guys there are also citizens of Ukraine. The command of the battalion coordinates its activities with the leadership of the ATO of Ukraine, and carries out its activities in the framework of the constitutional laws of Ukraine.

What exactly is the cooperation with the ATO, with whom do you contact? The main issues of cooperation with the ATO are the integration of the battalion into an anti -terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, the determination of the possible following offensive steps of terrorists, and, of course, the definition of specific tasks for the battalion. I will not voice names, I think that this is not necessary.

Let's not give the work of Russian false propaganda. How can you legalize you, are there any ways? For us, of course, it would be desirable for us to legalize our battalion as official Kyiv as the Johar Dudaev International Peacemaker Battalion. But, given the possible aggressive reaction of Russia to this recognition, we are with understanding of Kyiv’s position in this scrupulous issue.
