Taimuraz Freiev Biography
Romania for unknown reasons did not give out visas to several leading fighters of our national team. As a result, the competition was missed by Abdulrashid Sadulaev, Arthur Nayfonov, Vitaliy Kabaloev, David Baev, Zaur Uguev, and therefore in categories up to 57 kg and up to 97 kg, our warrior wrestlers did not perform for the Russian team. Our republic in the national team of the Greco-Roman wrestling was represented by a two-time medalist of the Russian championships, an international master of sports Alan Oleev in the weight category up to 87 kg.
In qualifications, our fighter confidently figured out Raido Litmai from Estonia, having won a early victory with the account was pleasantly pleased with our countryman Georgy Tibilov, albeit now, who now plays for the team of Serbia.
In the quarter -final, Tibilov could not contrast the onslaught of Moldavian Viktor Choban and yielded ahead of schedule - through the comforting fights the Ossetian wrestler made his way into a fight for the "bronze", where with a minimal advantage - lost to another Russian Sadyk Lalaev and finished the fourth. After the Greco-Rimlan in Romania, freaks started. Once again, our Taimuraz Salcakanov in a photo representing Slovakia, again, in a weight of up to 74 kg, was triumphantly declared himself about himself at the European tournament.
In the absence of Zaurbek Sidakov Taimuraz, he confidently went to the final, where he defeated the Turk Soner Demirtash with a “dry” score and became a four -time European champion in a row. HETIT CABOLOV already in the qualification of the weight category up to 79 kg hit the legendary Italian Frank Chamiso and lost to him - the only representative of North Ossetia in the Russian national team, the freemen was Arslan Bagaev, urgently called to replace up to 86 kg instead of Arthur Nyphonov.
Our fighter in qualification ran into a two -time champion of Europe and the owner of the World Cup Dauren Kurugliev Greece and was ahead of schedule - however, through comforting fights, Arslan reached the fight for the "bronze", where he lost to his countryman Arseniy Gioeva, who plays for Azerbaijan. Boris Makoev Slovakia reached the final in the category up to 92 kg, where without a chance he lost to Turk Faisulla Aktürk - won the "silver".
In the course of the tournament, he first stumbled in the quarterfinals of Tsakulov, and in the semifinals lost Baitsaev. After comforting fights, Vladislav and Batyrbek converged in the bronze finale, where luck was on the side of Baitsaev - finally, in the battles of the heavyweights, Alain Khubulov, who was fighting for Bulgaria, managed to defeat Denis Khrhenkov in a battle for the third place of Belarusian, and conquered Bronze.
It is pleasant to note that the Ossetian freemen, playing for the national teams of other countries, at the European Championship won the same number of medals - one “gold”, one “silver” and three “bronze”. In addition, recently the head coach of the Azerbaijani team in freestyle wrestling Khetag Gozumov received a reward - "Best Coach of Europe of the Year." Well, the Russian national team in three types of struggle at the European Championship won 14 medals 3 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze and took fourth place in the team standings.
The next stage in the preparation of fighters for the Olympics in Paris will be the European qualification tournament in April in Baku.
