Shvetsov Mikhail Biography

He was born and raised in Yoshkar-Ola, in a city with a population of thousands of people where students from 45 countries and 52 subjects of the country study. In childhood, his heroes were midshipmen. It is not surprising that Mikhail Shvetsov still remembers the words of the song “Do not hang your nose, midshipmen” by heart. The line “Fate and Homeland is one” reveals the philosophy of his attitude to life.

In love for his own country, Mikhail Shvetsov raises not only three sons, but all students of a prestigious university - Margu. Never to whine in front of children Yoshkarolinets Mikhail Shvetsov was born in a young pedagogical family, the story of which remembers different times. My parents are professors. Father worked at the pedagogical institute, mother at the university.

Dad was given a room in a hostel for young teachers. I was brought there immediately after the hospital.

Shvetsov Mikhail Biography

There was no hot water, so on Saturdays we went to wash in the bathhouse. All days, the parents “knocking” their dissertations on printing machines. Despite the difficult living conditions, Mikhail Shvetsov has preserved the warmest memories of childhood. Yes, we lived well, but parents knew for sure that when they defend the dissertation, they would receive rubles - they had a prospect.

In advance, they stood in line for the wall “memory”, the “spring” tape recorder, the horizon color TV, the Moskvich car. When we moved to our own apartment, we had hot water and even a phone. During perestroika, delays in salaries began, but the parents of Mikhail Shvetsov always believed in the best and showed a decent example for children. I remember in the year, when I was 12 years old, dad was given a salary for six months - a grid of hundredth bills.

I then thought that my dad was a millionaire. We went to the store and exchanged a bag of hundreds for a bag of products: a salary for one day, which we waited six months. I remember that in especially difficult times my parents began to grow potatoes and carrots. And then a private education appeared. My parents - good specialists - began to earn again. Then state universities came to life.

Everything returned to its place. There were different times, but that my parents say at least one bad word about the country - this was not. They never ached, just worked and never lowered their hands. And I came up with the rule for myself: “Never whine in front of children! I always knew that I would work in education, and I liked it. I am inspired by the opportunity to benefit people.

Previously, it was necessary to go somewhere to study, now you can study here. I have a great job - we communicate every day with a talented youth, the best people in Russia, in the world, in the universe. In his youth, Mikhail Shvetsov studied at the Language School in Oxford on the exchange program. When I say that I studied at Oxford, everyone expresses stormy delight.

And no one clarifies exactly where. And I studied at a small language school, which had nothing to do with Oxford University. Nevertheless, this phrase “studied in Oxford” sounds impressive. I want Yoshkar-Ola to become the same brand in education to study in Yoshkar-Ola to be cool in itself! The best career is the career of a scientist Mikhail Shvetsov believes that the best career for young people is a career as a scientist.

I respect science. Our task is to cause the interest of the younger generation and give it a quality education, based on leading practices not only in Russia, but also the whole world. For me and my children, the best example is scientists. You may not know specific surnames, but scientists do our world - everything that surrounds us. When you go along the path of science, you benefit people.

Marga includes 15 institutes and faculties, 84 laboratories and a center, including medical ones. Recently, Maxim Bronnikov, a teacher, a wonderful doctor and a practicing surgeon, tells me: “Look, in the second clinic my student is already sitting at a reception.” I answer, they say, this is great - before you were just a surgeon, but now you have become a teacher. And this is a girl, by the way, a round excellent student.

She came from Tatarstan to Yoshkar-Ola to study. And we have a great many such wonderful examples of talented young people, we are proud of all of them and set as an example. Travel and always return home Mikhail Shvetsov learns and travels a lot. Wherever he is, he finds friends everywhere. In his phone book, comrades from China, America, Great Britain and other countries.

I always say to everyone: “Travel as much as possible, and always return home! Good people are everywhere. Each country has excellent nature, great cuisine. By the way, our students introduced Yoshkar-Ola to Indian food. Sometimes we gather with our students from India, they prepare national dishes, we try them, then communicate, drink Masala tea and dance to Indian music. If you are disrespectful about other cultures and traditions, then you can never find out something useful for yourself.

In every city or country, the rector of Margu finds something good and interesting than one could enrich his knowledge and worldview. There are people who are trying to find positive moments in everything, but there is who is looking for negativity in everything. Once I was traveling on a train with one Joshkar-Ola photographer. He collaborated with the Austrians and created for them catalogs about Mari El, was very popular there.

I asked to show the work. I leaf through the catalog, and there are some homeless people, alcoholics, destroyed villages. I tell him: “What are you doing? Where is our youth, where is virgin nature, famous lakes, forests, beautiful people in national clothes? So, everyone has their own market, and their own focus of attention. The philosophy of love for the motherland for his philosophy for life Mikhail Shvets is grateful to his parents.

He tries to transfer it to children and students. My philosophy is a love for the Motherland. Homeland is the place where I was born, my parents, our traditions. I love them and appreciate them. I understand that we had and there are pros and cons, but in any case I will never say bad about my homeland to my children, to anyone else. In fact, I always emphasize both children and students that I am not perfect - the most imperfect person is me.

Do you know why? If we instill in children what we are perfect, or we have an ideal country, then they will be quickly disappointed. You need to be able to distinguish what is good, what is bad and learn dialectical logic. When a person knows how to think and think logically, he, of course, understands that there may be problems and difficulties, but at the same time he will see ways to solve and overcome them, as well as have a desire and an opportunity to make peace around himself.

Live and work in Russia. ”
