The full name is Joseph Davydovich Kobzon. Born on September 11 in the city of Yar Ukraine. Kobzon has always had a special relationship with his mother. This strong and brave woman was an indisputable authority and moral guideline for him. Ida Isaevna lost her parents early, from the age of thirteen she earned a living herself: at first she raised tobacco, then went to the factory, and from the year she began to work a people's judge.

Mother with a grandmother, a disabled brother and three sons left for Uzbekistan, her father was called up to the front. After a strong concussion, Kobzon’s father was commissioned, but he never returned home by meeting another woman. He spent the rest of his life with her in Moscow.

After the war, the Kobzon family moved to Ukraine, the mother married a second time - for Moses Rappoport. Kobzon has three brothers and sister.
