There were more than sixty guests: the conference hall of the National Library hardly accommodated everyone, there the birthday person presented his new book. Then they worked together in the newspaper Petrozavodsk, in the publishing house Petropress, there were many joint projects, including the creation of books. In the third volume of the “business trips to the XX century” there are also drawings and cartoons of Moskin.

He is still the same - outwardly simple, internally complex. And over the years, it becomes only more interesting. Since nature is given, since the state has given you an education, you must give as much as possible. In his three books - the whole life of Karelia in different aspects, from cultural to household. Schleikin is a local nestor -voltage recorder, ”says Dmitry Moskin.

There are several historical essays about revolutionaries: Gulling, Anokhin, Rovio, Shotman and others. Of course, I personally did not know them, but, as a historian by education, I decided to write about them, ”says Yuri Shleikin. There were many articles in two years, the author supplemented them with photographs, drawings and individual essays about people who are proud of. His life was rich, interesting, and he still wants to do something in this world.

I think that he does not have a single minute to lie on the couch and spit on the ceiling. And if he even lies on the couch, then he is definitely born the ideas of a new book, ”said Nadezhda Akimova. But he really thinks about a new book. He dreams of a large edition dedicated to Petrozavodsk - the city of military glory. He is negotiating with the mayor of the capital of Karelia about the sources of financing this project.

It complains that the last three years in Karelia, printing has not been supported in any way, everything has to be issued at their own expense. It is necessary to somehow tell them in a form convenient for them, ”Schleikin thinks about the future book. Firstly, his dad was a pilot, a military officer. Yuri Viktorovich himself wanted to go to the School, but did not take it because of poor vision: “I read too many books under the blanket in the dark,” Schleikin laughs.

And secondly, he was born in the year-two years after the victory, he remembers the post-war time well, the restoration of the country. His favorite film is “Volunteers”, his favorite song is from the same film.

We go out to meet the winds, we can’t grow old for us forever. ” The fact that Yuri Shlekin does not grow old forever is for sure. He is full of ideas, energy, and will write many books. For a person who, on his birthday, collects the full conference room of the library and includes the International, you can be completely calm. Almost everyone who came to the presentation of the book of Yuri Shlekin received it as a gift with the personal signature of the author.
